An alternative to ring binders for hard copy binding, using metals posts instead of a ring mechanism.
Benefits:
- Good for holding a small number of sheets.
- Special sizes with the posts positioned at different spacing are possible.
- Neat presentation especially for press releases, business proposals and mailings.
- Can be used for restaurant menus.
- Most popular sizes A4 and A5 but any size is possible.
- Choice of post length up to 25mm. Standard are 3, 6, 8, 13, 20 and 25mm. Beyond 25mm, the product does not perform well.
- Press fastener caps come in a choice of standard colours.
- Cover can come with a cut-out so that a title sheet shows through.
Limitations:
- If extra sheets are to be added, pages have to be removed,
- Contents do not lie flat when opens like a ring binder.
- More expensive than a conventional ring binder because of the manufacturing processes involved.
Presentation Folders are made form 800 micron poly. Lighter and heavier weights are not really practicable.
