Cases/Boxes
The majority of cases we make are folded and tabbed together. They are often used for holding printed material such as A4 literature for a new product launch or a conference. Cases are also used to 'package' a whole variety of items e.g. bottles, videos, disks, cosmetics - so very early on we need to ask a series of important questions.
- What is going in the case? Sizes? Weight of the contents?
- Does the item(s) need to be held in place? Do the contents need to be arranged in a certain manner?
- Is the case going to be mailed? Will it be further packaged or mailed as it is?

Designease have something like 200 different cutting shapes for cases, we are working on listing these for quick and easy reference. For new enquiries, we need the preferred size and shape, the closure style (tablock, press fasteners, plastic clip, with/without handle) and we'll check if we can match or get close to what's needed. If we haven't got a suitable cutting forme, we can create one to the client's specific requirements.
Average cost for 'tooling' is £130 for an A5 and £180 for an A4 size. This is an extra one-off cost and will be shown separately on the estimate. This forme is owned by Designease and can be used by us for other jobs.
